Mentoring Opportunity
Quarantine is offering a six month mentorship programme for up to 3 mentees. The scheme gives individuals or groups the opportunity to work in close proximity to Quarantine. The scheme is open to people from a variety of art forms, or none. Quarantine researches and makes new theatre.
We will meet monthly as a group. In addition, individual meetings will explore ways of furthering your ideas. Quarantine will act as a critical friend – encouraging and supporting directions for your work, whilst actively questioning, critiquing and reflecting on it.
“Made me take myself seriously” – Jason Singh, Musician, former mentee
We are looking for people who will take responsibility for their own learning and are open to new ideas and challenges to ways of thinking.
The scheme is open to people from a variety of art forms (or none at all). We would like at least one of the mentees to be near the start of their career, and at least one to be mid career or seeking a new direction. At least one should be based in the North West. You can use the opportunity to explore a specific project or idea or for general reflection – whatever you feel is most useful to you.
There is no fee involved.
We will pay travel expenses where appropriate.
The scheme will run from mid-September 2009 to mid-March 2010.
